When our founder Anne was a little girl, her mother would cut stems from the lilac bush in their backyard and place them in a small green bumpy cream pitcher on her bedroom windowsill. The exact fragrant memomery of the smell of the lilacs and the color of the little pitcher remains, after decades! This fragrance is the epitome of springtime.
